CWSS to Annur, Mooperipalayam Town Panchayats in Coimbatore District, Avinashi Town Panchayat in Tirupur District, Air Force Station, Sulur and Bulk Quantity for 155 Habitations in Palladam and Tirupur Unions in Tiruppur District with Bhavani river as source has been Administratively sanctioned vide G.O. Ms No 17/ MA & WS(WS1) dated 05.03.2018. for Rs 241.00 Crore with funding pattern of 80:20 of NABARD RIDGF XXII/ RDCGF and 100% deposit to Sulur Air force station, Sulur for Rs 26.75 Crore.

On implementation of this CWSS, 21.07 MLD of water to benefit the Intermediate population (2035) of 2.86 lakh and 32.12 MLD of water to the ultimate population (2050) of 4.20 lakh will be supplied.

The per capita supply for Annur, Mooperipalayam Town Panchayats in Coimbatore District, Avinashi Town Panchayat in Tirupur District at 90 lpcd and for rural habitations is 40 lpcd as per rural norms has been adopted.

It is proposed to draw surface water in River Bhavani near Paraithurai Vinayagar kovil upstream of Sirumugai Town by construction of baby well and collection well cum pump house. Water will be pumped to Treatment plant of 22.12 MLD capacity to Sumaithaangi at a distance of 18.13 KM. Clear water will be collected in the clear water reservoir of capacity 13.95 lakh litres and the clear water will be pumped to the proposed sumps of 1.30LL at Annur, 0.70LL at Mooperipalayam and 1.65LL at Avinashi weekly market. From the sump, the water is again to be pumped to 3 Town Panchayats through pumping and feeder main for a total length of 112.411 Kms.

Further water is pumped to 4 Nos of existing Service Reservoirs and 17 Nos of New Service Reservoirs are proposed to be constructed in these Three Town Panchayats and water will be distributed through a distribution net work of 135.619 Km in Town Panchayats.

The work order was issued 16.08.2018 and so far 86% of works have been completed and Rs.142.65 Crore (595%) has been incurred. This scheme is proposed to be completed by 05/2021 and put in to beneficial use.
